Finance Society
The BYU Finance Society is a student organization that helps members determine and achieve their career goals. We accomplish this by:
• Introducing members to the field of finance through panel discussions and industry speakers.
• Providing job-finding tools and facilitating networking opportunities with alumni and corporations. • Providing an enjoyable atmosphere in which student interaction can occur.
• Providing seminars and workshops covering a variety of topics including resumes, networking and interviewing skills.
The BYU Finance Society is dedicated to educating and preparing students for premier internship and full-time opportunities in the field of finance. Students from all majors are welcome to join. We have a track record of success in placing students at top positions in all of the areas listed below and more. By joining the BYU Finance Society, members receive access to the following associations:
• Private Banking & Wealth Management Association (PBWMA)
• BYU Real Estate Association (BREA)
• Corporate Finance & Advisory Association (CFAA)
• Investment Banking Association (IBA)
• Private Equity & Venture Capital Association (PEVCA)
The Finance Society typically will meet two to three times a semester for large events. These events are typically opening and closing socials as well as other special events. Weekly meetings are held at the association level. Each association will send out their meeting locations in their weekly emails, please reach out to them with questions.
Each association provides resources for members, leadership from students in the field, and guidance from experienced faculty advisors who have had successful careers in the industry. Members will have access to internship/full-time job postings, resume workshops, interview prep, career networking trips across the country, upper-classman mentors, technical training programs, and more!
